Rookie Pickleball (Development) is designed as a step up for beginners who have participated in our Rookie (Instructional) or Rookie (Introduction) programs, understand the rules, and/or want to build on the fundamental skills. It focuses more on in-game coaching - similar to our previous Rookie League program.
Intended for newer players to gain experience, our 6-week instructor-led Rookies Only Pickleball Development will give you:
- Lessons to practice and build on the foundations to develop greater consistency, control, and comfort on the court
- A focus on gameplay with live coaching feedback, with and against those at a similar level
- A deeper exploration of shot selection and placement to improve in-game strategy and decision-making
- No equipment required - we provide paddles, balls, and everything you need!
Registration for this program is individual only, but pairs and small groups are welcome! Each person just has to sign up independently.
Classes are formed by grouping members with similar levels of experience together, for better practice and play experience. Listed friend/partner requests will be respected, but we cannot guarantee which one-hour timeslot you will play in. Please be prepared to play at any of the times listed.

If you're brand new to the sport, or just looking to get back to the basics, FCSSC Rookie Pickleball (Introduction) is a great option for you! It builds foundational knowledge on the essential rules, scoring and skills of the game.
Ready to hit the court for play, play, and more play? FCSSC Pickleball (Beginner) is a non-instructed program of matchups with and against other beginners! All players with a basic understanding of rules and scoring are welcome.
