Is book club getting blah? Ready to throw in the towel on dinner parties? Spice up your social routine with weekly pickleball! Now is YOUR CHANCE to get in the game with your friends, in your own backyard!

HOW IT WORKS:

This is a PRIVATE COURT BOOKING with a recommended group size of 8. Sign up a “team” and the two (2) courts are reserved for you and whomever you choose to invite to play, each week for the selected timeslot. It’s time to grab some friends and get dinking!

If you join us to PLAY, you’ll get:
- 15 weeks of fun-focused pickleball in the gym at Woodfield P.S.
- One hour on the court each week to serve, smash, and smile with friends
- ALL EQUIPMENT provided for you, including pickleball paddles, balls, and nets – set up and ready for you to play!
- An FCSSC host on-site each week to answer questions, clarify rules, suggest play formats, and take care of the equipment/setup
- All the details taken care of – all you need to do is show up!

This private league is designed for the more casual pickleball player, or those looking to give it a try! It’s a great way to get out with friends, have some fun, and work up a sweat!

CHOOSING YOUR TEAM:

The gym features two pickleball courts, so 8 people can play at a time. There is no limit to how many people can join your group, but all players must be added to your “team roster”.

All players must be 19+. Please note that with two games of pickleball going, space is very limited for children or spectators and we are not permitted in any other spaces of the school (so hallway tag is a no-go!).

When deciding how many people to invite to the group, here are some things to consider:

1. Attendance - if everyone can make it every week, then 8 is the perfect number! But, if you expect people to miss a few days here and there, it might be nice to have extra players. You can also bring in new players or subs in at any time by adding them to your "team roster" or having them sign a "sub waiver" with the FCSSC host.

2. Price - the total price is based on 8 people registered per group. Adding more people reduces the cost for everyone, but also reduces each person's play time (hence point #3!).

3. Play time - it's far more fun to be active and engaged for the full hour, and as mentioned, there is limited space for spectators. We recommend no more than 10 players at the gym each week so everyone gets to take part in the fun!


HOW TO REGISTER:

Timeslots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. There is only one “team” spot for each timeslot before it goes to a waitlist (with the “team” representing your full group).

A deposit of $200 +HST is required to hold your spot. The outstanding balance must be paid within 2 weeks OR by the registration deadline, whichever comes first. If the balance has not been paid, your stored card will be charged on January 6th.

This payment process is intended to give you some time to collect money from your group members, who must pay YOU directly, based on the total number joining. You’re in charge, captain!

You are welcome to sign up for back-to-back timeslots if your group wants multiple hours on the court.
