Breathe deep with us this winter

Close your eyes, inhale deeply, and stretch it out…. It’s time for yoga.

 

Classes will explore postures that introduce you to the beauty of yoga, and allow you to work on your breathing techniques, plus build strength and flexibility. Classes are suitable for every body and every level of yoga practice. All winter yoga classes will be held at various locations around Wortley Village.

 

 

 

This winter we are offering three yoga classes:

Tuesday Yoga with Ashley:  Sessions will be focused on restorative yin-based practice, with deep, slow stretches that rejuvenate connective tissue and build support for muscles. 

 

Wednesday Yoga with Joan: Sessions will be based on cross-disciplinary practices. Come out to practice breathe work, and move into some strength, balance, and stretching before concluding with meditation.

 

Thursday Yoga with Dan: Our empathetic, spiritual and experienced instructor, Dan Woodward, will ensure that participants learn, relax, are present in the moment and enjoy their practice. You are sure to feel better after a class with Dan!

If you join us for 17 weeks of Yoga with Instructor Ashley Horat, you can expect:
- A restorative, yin-based class with deep, slow stretches that rejuvenate connective tissue and build support for muscles.
- A welcoming environment suitable and beneficial for everybody, inclusive of all ages, levels and body types.
- An excellent complement to an existing sport/fitness schedule to help with recovery and/or injury prevention, strengthen tendons and ligaments, and support muscles and bones.
- A safe, inclusive and respectful environment to reduce stress, calm the mind, and promote overall health and wellness.
- All sessions to take place in the beautiful ballroom of the Wortley YMCA.

- An enriching class based on cross-disciplinary practices including gentle hatha yoga, yin yoga, restorative yoga and meditation
- A welcoming environment suitable and beneficial for everybody, inclusive of all ages, levels and body types.
- A weekly exercise in strength, balance, flexibility, alignment, breath work, meditation and relaxation
- A safe environment built on compassion, respect, and humor which aims to reduce stress, calm the mind, create neurological resiliency and add balance in your life
