Sponsorship Specialist

Reporting to the Director, FCSSC’s Sponsorship Specialist is a business-savvy, creative and ambitious professional who can identify, create & retain sponsorship relationships that enhance the member experience for FCSSC and its affiliates. Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for meaningful sponsorship of FCSSC
  • Complete all steps in the sponsorship recruitment process:
    • Research and identify prospects
    • Make connections and assess fit
    • Present Sponsorship Proposals and follow up
    • Close the deal
  • Collaborate to create a renewed sponsorship model for FCSSC that includes club, league, events & owned play spaces
  • Co-create sponsorship collateral materials and communications, including website, e-communications and social media platforms, to support sponsorship recruitment
  • Ensure execution of all sponsorship commitments
  • Continuously improve breadth and depth of sponsorship opportunities for new and existing sponsors
  • Retain sponsors through intentional, regular relationship management initiatives
  • Track Sponsorship progress, request input/support, report regularly

Working Hours & Compensation
This is a full-time role, reporting the Director, FCSSC, with a $40,000/year base salary plus variable compensation based
on achievement of sponsorship revenue targets.

 

Qualifications

Track record of success in fundraising or sales, demonstrated ability to find the fit and close the deal

  • Adept at using databases and spreadsheets to organize process and track progress
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for and interest in community sport

  • Super organized, super fun and super reliable
  • An effective communicator, committed to clear, professional and timely sharing of information

Other qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years fundraising or sales experience in a community-focused organization
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, Sports Management or Recreation & Leisure preferred
  • A valid driver’s license and personal transportation (having your own vehicle is essential to get to all of FCSSC’s play
  • locations and prospect meetings.
